EGA Senior Winter Champs

The EGA Senior Winter Champs, 14-15 August 2021, seemed to take the winter designation way too seriously. Nevertheless, our swimmers braved the cold air to deliver some solid performances.

It was nice to see that everyone of our swimmers managed to score points.

Mikayla was our top point scorer with, 158 points - medalling in 7 of 10 swims. Winning 3 Silver (50 Breast, 100 Breast, 100 Fly) and 4 Bronze (100 IM, 100 Back, 50 Fly, 200 IM) medals.

Madison also gave a superb performance (especially considering that this was her second gala) with a silver medal for 50 Back and 50 Fly.

For our boys Jared was the top point scorer with 83 points, but everyone managed to deliver a commendable performance.

The biggest single time improvement was delivered by Jared with a 35,31s improvement on his 100 IM.

Lesedi (2) and Madison added eight new times and our swimmers set 31 new personal bests in their 43 swims. Karl and Jared set the most BPs for the team (8 each), with Mikayla adding five , Rone four, Madison three and Lesedi two.
