Level 3 Regionals - 2018

Hillcrest pool in Pretoria was the venue for the Level 3 Regionals. 4 swimmers from the Academy took part. A long 3 days followed.

Keiryn Letley was not well at all, however managed to qualify for 8 finals winning 1 gold medal in a personal best time of 30.67 for the 50m butterfly. Kieryn also won 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals and was the top point scorer for her previous club.

ESP Level 3 team

Tambai Dutiro has worked well this past season and from not qualifying last year he won a silver medal in the 100m backstroke. Tambai swam in 2 finals.

Clayton Malaza qualified for 3 final events and swam 7 personal Bests. At 16 years of age, he competes in the 16 to 18 age group.

Our little Mikayla Pon aged up 1 day too early, to compete at the level 2 Championships. (10 year old swimmers are allowed to swim at Level 2 even with Level 3 qualifying times). Unfortunately for Mikayla she aged up to 11 and was still a level 3 swimmer so had to compete in Pretoria. She swam 3 personal best times.

Back Tambai Dutiro. Clayton Malaza, Kyle McKenzie (supporter) Front: Charlotte Malaza. Keiren Letley.
