Eight ESP Swimmers Selected for 2017 Small District Championships

Our new ESP, “Home of Piranhas”, had three new members selected to compete for EGA at the Small Inter District Championships. The event took place at the Boksburg North Pool over the past weekend. Eastern Gauteng (EGA) won the competition in which five districts took part.

Kent Field, Morgan Corns and Mikayla Pon were selected to represent Ekurhuleni for the first time. Mikayla’s girls Relay team won gold. Kent surprised everyone by winning a silver medal in a personal best time.

Kyle McKenzie won a gold in the 200 Individual Medley, (posting his best time for the season), and another gold in the men’s 16 year relay.

Bernelee Doster claimed a bronze with her best time in the 100m breaststroke.

Aquatic Academy's EGA winners

All our swimmers swam hard for their district, bettering their time.

Our training philosophy is “train to swim” and then you are able to “swim to win”.
